Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

OpenBid uses a virtual currency called BidCoins to facilitate transactions on our procurement platform. BidCoins can be purchased using real currency (MYR) via our supported payment methods and are used to place bids on procurement opportunities (RFQs).

2. BidCoin Purchases

BidCoins are a prepaid digital currency for use exclusively on the OpenBid platform. All BidCoin purchases are made in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are subject to this refund policy.

3. Refund Eligibility

BidCoins are generally non-refundable once purchased. However, refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure: If a payment was successfully charged but BidCoins were not credited to your account due to a system error.
  • Duplicate purchase: If a duplicate charge occurred due to a system or payment gateway error, the duplicate amount will be refunded.
  • RFQ cancellation: If an RFQ is cancelled by the buyer before the bidding period closes, BidCoins used to bid on that RFQ may be credited back to your account balance.

4. Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after purchasing BidCoins.
  • BidCoins that have already been used to submit bids on active or completed RFQs.
  • Account suspension or termination due to violation of our Terms & Conditions.
  • Unused BidCoins remaining in your account (BidCoins do not expire).

5. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction with the following information:

  • Your registered email address and company name.
  • Transaction ID or payment reference number.
  • Date of purchase.
  • Reason for the refund request.

Refund requests can be submitted via email at openbidmy@gmail.com. We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow 7 to 14 business days for the refund to be reflected in your bank account, depending on your financial institution.

7. Subscription Cancellation

For subscription-based services (such as OpenBid Pro), cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds will be issued for the remaining days in the billing period. You will continue to have access to subscription benefits until the end of the paid period.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
